ASSISTED REPRODUCTIVE TECHNOLOGY, S&R FARMACEUTICI TOGETHER WITH ART CENTRES

Since its foundation, the core business of S&R Farmaceutici spa has always been Gynaecology and Obstetrics, which is why for months it has supported associations and bodies of the sector, involving itself in events in Italy and beyond. The most recent example is the meeting organised by the Italian Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SIGO), aimed at all Assisted Reproductive Technology Centres in Italy. S&R Farmaceutici sponsored the event which took place on Friday 8th February at hotel Hassler-Villa Medici in Rome. Professors, doctors and researchers discussed how in the space of the last few years, the field of assisted reproductive technologies has faced significant problems requiring a univocal vision in a very short space of time or at least coordination between both public and private operators of the sector.

The new SIGO-Federation (SIGO-AOGOI-AGUI-AGITE), in line with its statutory purposes, suggested the foundation of a group of special interest whose members are assisted reproductive technology centres operating throughout the entire country. The proposed name is ‘Giss – Federazione SIGO’ (which stands for Italian Group for the study of infertility, Sigo Federation).

The meeting was attended by Dr. Elsa Viora, president of Aogoi, professor Giovanni Scambia, president of Sigo, Dr. Sandro Massimo Viglino, president of AGITE, and professor Nicola Colacurci president of Agui.
